AMPIKYY 50 mg -tablet
White, round tablet with score. The diameter of the tablet is 11 mm.
The active substance is hydrocortisone 50 mg in one tablet. The other ingredients are pregelatinised starch, glycerol 85 %, hypromellose, magnesiumstearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulphate and colloidal anhydrous silica.
AMPIKYY 50 mg -tablets are lactosefree and sugarfree.

1. WHAT AMPIKYY 50 mg -TABLETS ARE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED FOR
AMPIKYY 50 mg -tablet acts on the substances, which transmit inflammation. It relieves pain and reduces burning, redness and swelling. AMPIKYY 50 mg-tablets are used as first help to the reactions caused by viperbite or wasp or bee sting. Patient with viperbite belongs to the doctor´s care.
2. BEFORE YOU USE AMPIKYY 50 mg -TABLETS
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
AMPIKYY 50 mg -tablets can be used during pregnancy and lactation as first aid.
Driving and using machines
AMPIKYY 50 mg -tablets do not have an effect to an ability to drive and use machines.
Taking other medicines
Hydrocortisone, when taken together with anticholinesterase, may cause muscular weakness to patients suffering from myasthenia gravis. Any interactions with one hydrocortisone dose are not known.
Overdose
In the case of overdose or poisoning, contact your doctor. If needed, medicinal charcoal may be given.
Restrictions on use
Ampikyy-tablets are not meant to long term care nor to the ordinary allergical symptoms.
3. HOW TO USE AMPIKYY 50 mg- TABLETS
For adults and children over 15 years of age: 3 tablets.
Children:
0-5 years of age: 1 tablet.
5-15 years of age: 2 tablets.
The whole dose is taken with a little amount of fluids as soon as possible after the bite / sting. Giving of extra fluids should be avoided under the next half an hour, because part of the patients may feel sick and vomit. Patient with viperbite belongs to the doctor´s care. Contact doctor immediately. Not to long term care.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
The recommended dose of hydrocortisone won´t normally do any harm. Hydrocortisone may cause allergic reactions to some patients.
5. STORING AMPIKYY 50 mg -TABLETS
No special instructions for storing. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN. Do not use after expiry date stated on the carton.
